his Year’s PGA Tour Genesis L A Open featured 27 of the
Ttop 30 golfers in the world, and Adam Scott played his way
to his 16th career PGA Victory with several of them breathing
down his neck. On Sunday’s final round at Riviera Country Club
in Pacific Palasades California, Scott mastered Hogan’s alley with
a tidy final round 69, to go with solid scores of 72,64, and 67 for
a total of 277 and a two shot margin, with Matt Kuchar, Bryson
Dechambeau, Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy all in the hunt
for the iconic title.
Congratulations to perhaps the best player to watch in the game
today!
Scott combines the best golf swing on tour, a solid work ethic,
crisp iron play, great touch around the greens, a positive and re-
lentless attitude, and a lot of heart and soul to entertain us with
great performances. While collecting 31 world wide champion-
ships he plays the game the way it should be played. Adam makes
the game wonderful to watch, with ease, style and confidence.
This win was truly a combination of several strengths, and a
command of the game that is reminiscent to the great champions
in golf, especially Mr. Ben Hogan. I think it is fitting that this
win comes at age 39 at a classic course like Riviera, where Hogan
dominated with a similar style and solid play!
I have to add he is such a nice person as well. He regularly car-
ries himself as a champion regardless of the state of his game, or
order of finish. He is pleasant and friendly to players and fans
