                                                               Shot of the Day: Kim Si-woo’s Record-Breaking Ace

                                                               In what may be voted the best shot of the Open, Kim Si-
                                                               woo  made  a  remarkable  hole-in-one  on  the  par-3  17th
                                                               hole,  setting  two  records.  The  Korean  player  recorded
                                                               the  longest  hole-in-one  since  the  Open’s  records  began
                                                               in 1981, at 238 yards, and achieved the first ace on that
                                                               particular hole at Royal Troon.

          his dream by lifting the Claret Jug
          for  the  first  time.  He  set  a  joint
          championship  record,  finishing
          with a bogey-free round of 65 and
          ending the week at 9-under par.

          "I can't wait to spend the moment
          with  this  Claret  Jug,"  Schauffele
          said,  acknowledging  that  his
          success  at  Valhalla  played  a
          crucial role in keeping him calm
          under pressure during the tough
          back nine at Royal Troon.
