n May 1st, in the final round of the Palos
OVerdes Championship held at the Palos
Verdes Golf Club in California, Marina Alex
won the tournament with a 10-under 274, and
became the first winner of the tournament.
Meanwhile, Jin Young Ko finished second with
a final total of 9-under 275.
Jin Young Ko, who finished the tournament
before the leader group, practiced putting in
preparation for overtime, but Marina Alex
finished with one bogey and six birdies to 10
under par and lifted the trophy by one stroke.
This is Marina Alex's first win in four years since
she started her professional career in 2013 and
won the Cambia Portland Classic in Oregon in
2018.
She became the third American player to win in
this season.
This week’s championship, which was
introduced for the first time this year, drew a lot
of attention from Californian players. Andrea
Lee and Annie Park, who tied for fifth place
