Kingston Technology and Hoag Charity Sports also awarded
$70,000 in scholarships to local students who participate in The
First Tee of Orange County. This program provides the opportu-
nity to further the education of deserving students in our region,
who have a passion for golf.
Additionally, the economic benefits of the Hoag Classic are im-
portant for the surrounding communities. An economic analysis
conducted for the event found the tournament to have an annual
impact throughout Southern California of nearly $30 million.
